Insanely great Apple Black Friday deals

Our roundup of the best buys we can find.

All this year I’ve been looking for a new MacBook Air. I wanted a light, portable machine that wouldn’t break the bank. I like working in noisy coffee shops. Helps me concentrate.

My work is mostly text-based, so I don’t need the latest M4 screamer. But I often have a million tabs open, so 16GB of RAM was the minimum. Plus, 16GB is better for Apple Intelligence.

I kept looking for deals, but most were for base-level 8GB machines. Finally a 16GB, 13-inch M2 MacBook Air popped up at Best Buy for $800 (regularly $999) so I jumped on it.

Fool that I am!

It’s now on sale for Black Friday for just $750 at Amazon and Best Buy.

$750 for a machine of this quality is an insanely great deal. A few years ago, a laptop of this quality would have cost a lot more.

I’m head-over-heels in love with it. And not just for its functionality. With a drool-worthy midnight black case, it’s a beautiful object, period.

Light and thin, I get a kick out of just opening the lid and marveling how the bottom of the case doesn’t shift at all. I know from my reporting that Jony Ive and his industrial design team at Apple labored on special, complex hinges that afforded this. AFAIK, details like this aren’t offered on rival machines, especially at this price.

Then there’s the magnetic MagSafe charger, the Touch ID button and wonderful, responsive trackpad — a bunch of thoughtful hardware features that make it a pleasure to use.

And it’s very, very fast. No more spinning beachballs for me.

I could go on!

But that’s not the only insanely great Apple deal to be had this Black Friday.

AirPods Pro 2 are at their lowest price ever, a mad steal at just $153.99. (I just bought a new pair a month ago at Costco for $200. Dammit!)

The fantastic Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black titanium is also at its lowest price ever.(Again, I bought one at launch for full price. Wait a sec, I’m starting to see pattern here.) The Natural Titanium is even lower, just $620 ($180 off).

See the posts below for the best Black Friday deals we’ve found. We discovered savings on almost all Apple products, from the latest M4 MacBook Pros to AirTags.

We also found possibly the only deal out there on the HomePod mini. Amazon doesn’t sell them (because of Alexa). It’s not a huge discount, but hey, a deal’s a deal.

We also have personal recommendations for bargains from our writers for stuff they use and love that’s on sale.

Apple products are just the best, especially when you save.

Happy shopping!
